 Hey girls!! I had a thought for the team but wanted to post on here and get some input before I went any further. What would you girls think of having a friend of mine that is a massage therapist travel with us for bouts and such to massage our "bumps and bruises"??

It would be nice, but it's not like we have money sitting around for a massage therapist. We are a new league and it takes awhile to build up the funds it takes to have the nice perks such as massages. If this is someone who wants to donate her time and services in liue of free advertising i would say she needs to talk to Kappi-ass candy she runs the sponsorship committee. We do have a sponsorship packet with a portion that talks about servises in place of cash sponsorship.

It sounds like a good idea, but its hard to say since we've only had the one bout/scrimmage so far. Afterward was kind of crazy w/everyone so excited & talking about how we played & this-&-that, & then we were all scurrying around to change, clean up the locker-room, see our families, & get to the after party. I don't know if actually AT the bout would work just due to time. I think the venue might want us to get our stuff & scram so they can start cleaning up & all. I'll tell you when I wanted a massage wasn't right after, but the next day!  It'd be great to have someone on hand during a bout, though, to care for one of the girls (on either team) who pulled a muscle or something while skating. Maybe some quick massage moves could get her back out on the floor! I think if we played that angle, & had her work more w/ the EMTs & all, that would be a games committee issue, which would be the lovely Ophelia Nightly. Good idea Frenchie!  |

Yes, please have your friend talk to Sponsorship. There must be a $ amount on her time and effort that would equate to a sponsor package we offer, it might be gift cert for merch and/or bout tickets (assuming she will already be there she could give them to her friends or family)...
cuz I'd take a massage BEFORE the bout ...ya know? to loosen up and relax...that kind of thing.

You know Crabby, I put up with Jon putting his hands all over MY woman, and I put up with those guys at the gentlemen's club putting their hands all over MY woman (we need the beer money) and I even allow those children of yours to put their hands all over MY woman....but I will not tolerate some stranger rubbing her hands all over your body (for free).
