OOoo very pretty! Hey French, or anyone, are there any local places that sell outdoor wheels? I want some, but I don't want to have to order them online if I don't have to

Cool Frenchie! What color did you get?
And Kiddo, I don't know where you can get them around here. Ohio Skate can order them for you, but you'd still have to wait. My personal opinion is that you might want to consider buying new indoor wheels, & making your old wheels your outdoor wheels. That's what I did, since I need indoor ones way more.

Sally, won't the indoor ones be too hard for outdoor? I thought outdoor wheels were softer. Or does it not matter that much?

Some people don't mind a harder outdoor wheel. I bought a wheel specifically made for outside skating and I love them. They are a 78a rating and are Radar Fuels. This is extremely soft. We normally skate with a wheel rated at a 92a to 96a. The issue with hard vs. soft outside is what surface you are going to be skating on....the softer the wheel the less jarring your legs are gonna take. Unfortunately this sport is a lot of trial and error. And that can get expensive. lol

I skated last summer on old indoor wheels borrowed from Ophelia Nightly, because I had just dropped a boat load of cash on gear and skates and what not. They were passable, and I guess when your not used to the nice soft ones, you don't miss it. I got radar 88's for my outdoor wheels, and now I skate outside a lot and LOVE them. I think it's worth the investment, but again just my opinion. The difference for me was it made it a lot easier to skate longer, and harder outside, plus made me more stable. The soft wheels absorb the shock and a lot of the bumps, also they seem to be a lot more forgiving of cracks and bumps... sticks and stones WILL break your bones. especially when skating outdoors. You can save some money by buying outdoor wheels but using the same bearings for indoor and outdoor wheels. Hope it helps! Thor
