Hey Frenchie had a good idea ~ so here it is...Please vote if you would like to go so that I can set this up with Interstate Lanes...remember it's free bowling and shoe rental!
Two's company, three's a crowd and about 20 makes one hell of a night at the lanes! LOL!

I actually recently bowled for the first time in about 20 years when my workplace held a fundraiser. I went and got my bowling ball redrilled as my fingers have gained a little weight (as has the rest of me) in those intervening years. I sucked at bowling recently, though. I used to average 165 to 170 those many years ago, but I bowled a 136, 126, and 157--ugh!

Rusty, you'd still smoke me. I bowled on a league for two years, and my average is still like 112. If I bowled a 130, the others on my team got excited. It was that bad. And since Ii haven't bowled for over a year, I'm sure it'll be even worse.  |

Rusty, you'd still smoke me. I bowled on a league for two years, and my average is still like 112. If I bowled a 130, the others on my team got excited. It was that bad. And since Ii haven't bowled for over a year, I'm sure it'll be even worse. Back in my teen years, I bowled in a co-ed league. At the beginning of the year, the two gals on my team averaged around 69 and 102. I coached them as the year went on, correcting their deliveries, aim, etc, and by the end of the year they were each bowling about 30-40 pins over their average each game. Needless to say, we got an easy first place as we were getting lots of handicap pins. Now all I need to do is to analyze what I'm doing wrong bowling and try to correct myself! Although, I do know what part of my problem is--old age! When you get to be my age joints get stiff, muscles don't work the way they used to, and athletic things get harder to do. :-( Argh! i used to be on a bowling league... in the fourth grade, had me own ball and everything even had my name on it. i think i averaged a 115 or something like that

I may be bringing the soft shell Crabbs (kiddies)...they have this 'Free Bowling for Kids' thing that you have to sign up for on line but basically - it is 2 free games of bowling every day for the entire summer (shoe rental not included) since my son and Jon's boys are all signed up - and they love to bowl - I bet they are going to want to tag along...There will be two 11 yr olds a 10 yr old and an 8 yr old...if you want to bring your little cutie and let him play with the older boys you could. The boys won't mind letting him bumper bowl. xoxoxox Crabbs |
